Very Simply, I Miss You...

Very simply, I miss you...

I miss watching you
at work ("Venti non-fat
soy latte!"). And I miss
the way your eyes look
at me when you're busy,
but thinking of me
anyway.

I miss your honest
emotions when you'd
pout and hold me
'cause we hadn't spent
much time together.

I miss your
gorgeous smile
and the way
you naturally
smell, like sweet,
warm flesh...
a melody to my
mind.

I miss you
in a way that I can't write
about, because
I keep stopping,
pausing,
to revisit San Francisco
days like moving
photographs taken
of the senses...

the warm smell of the dojo,
cool rains upon our faces, rushing home,
the hot, sweet taste of Jack and Vanilla Coke,
sounds of S-Club harmonies,
and the way the endless
California sunset is
so much more amazing,
standing there with you.

I never conquered, rarely came, sixteen just held such better days.

Lady:

Very simply, I liked this, even though I prefer my Jack on the rocks.

Ah, very nice LON, I can feel the longing in this piece;

miss your
gorgeous smile
and the way
you naturally
smell, like sweet,
warm flesh...
a melody to my
mind.

Wonderfully written!

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. (Aristotle)

smiles I'm glad you all liked this. The fact that I can remember these things without a wave of pain is a sign that I'm letting go (although I'm not sure I'll ever 'move on'), although yes... I suppose I do long, in a way. sigh.. Love lifts us up where we belong.
