Bob Copper has recently died, aged 89. Henry will know of him. He was an authentic link through six generations of his family to the tradition of folk music as song and music of the people. Some of his songs can be found on the mudcat cafe site.

Just a note to say that Bob Copper has just passed away at 89.
He was a great man. I always recall telling him that I had been a
lighthouse keeper on Beachy Head lighthouse in his beloved home county of Sussex...and his face just LIT UP. And when he discovered that I had read and revered Hilaire Belloc's "Cautionary Tales", well, then he only had ME in his radar! None of the usual stuff that one experiences when one meets the Great and the Good: their eyes are darting glances over your shoulders as they DO THE ROOM.
