I think that ANYTHING WRITTEN BY YOU -- no matter how many mistakes you make -- will be better than anything already written.

If I were your teacher, I would be thrilled to receive this:

it is very difficult to find
the right words
to say thank you

your are allright,
your lessons are somtimes very difficult...
your test are mostly tough
but least not last you are allright...

hope we see us next year again...

POEMS AND PRAYERS FOR TEACHERS

I want to teach my students more than lessons in a book;
I want to teach them deeper things that people overlook-
The value of a rose in bloom, its use and beauty, too
A sense of curiosity to discover what is true;
How to think and how to choose the right above the wrong,
How to live and learn each day and grow up to be strong;
To teach them always how to gain in wisdom and in grace,
So they will someday make the world a brighter, better place.
Lord, let me be a friend and guide to give these minds a start
Upon their way down life’s long road, then I’ll have done my part.

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN’T LOOKING

By Mary Rita Schilke Korzan

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you displayed my first report, and I wanted to do another.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you fed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you gave me a sticker, and I knew that little things were special things.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you put your arm around me, and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn’t looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt--but that it’s all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you smiled, and it made me want to look that pretty too.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you cared, and I wanted to be everything I could be.

When you thought I wasn’t looking--I looked...and wanted to say thanks for all those things you did when you thought I wasn’t looking.

Why God Made Teachers
When God created teachers,
He gave us special friends
To help us understand His world
And truly comprehend
The beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see,
And become a better person
With each discovery.
When God created teachers,
He gave us special guides
To show us ways in which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What's right instead of wrong,
To lead us so that we can lead
And learn how to be strong.
Why God created teachers,
In His wisdom and His grace,
Was to help us learn to make our world
A better, wiser place.
Poem by Kevin William Huff
Teachers
Paint their minds
and guide their thoughts
Share their achievements
and advise their faults

Inspire a Love
of knowledge and truth
As you light the path
Which leads our youth

For our future brightens
with each lesson you teach
Each smile you lengthen
Each goal you help reach

For the dawn of each poet
each philosopher and king
Begins with a Teacher
And the wisdom they bring

Talia,

I keep coming back to WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN’T LOOKING.

It's such a wonderful description of how everyone is a teacher, whether we mean to be or not.

I keep going back to 'I want to teach my students . . ' and thinking it should say children, as it's at least as appropriate to parents.

VECELIA, TRY THIS....WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT HOW IT SOUNDS:

syay from the heart how you feel about him, how he makes you feel, what you really like about him, and then post it here and someone should be able to "poem-ize" it up for you

someone should be able to "poem-ize" it up for you

Rather than that, merely write in your own words an anecdote including some true incident from the class where the teacher helped you or one of your classmates. I think this would mean more to your teacher than a poem no matter how famous, written (or poemized) by someone else.

                       <br />

(Name)

Today is the perfect time to tell you
what you mean to me.
How I depend on you to love me for who I am
and believe in me for what I hope to be.
How I feel loved each time you smile
or touch my hand and,
when I need someone to listen,
I know you'll understand.
So (Name of person is inserted here),
I celebrate my love for you,
grateful that we have the happiness
life gives to just a few.

(Personalization Example)
I Love You Name
Always & Forever,Name
(Name

With the start of each new day
I find myself thinking of you...
In the middle of my busy day,
my mind wanders and I think of you...
Out of nowhere I see your smile,
hear your laugh and I think of you...
Life is beautiful now because I fall in love
all over again each time I think of you.

(Closing - Example:
Love always,

No thanks on the e-mail, but here is a good one for your assignment:

The tide rises, the tide falls,
The twilight darkens, the curlew calls;
Along the sea-sands damp and brown
The traveler hastens toward the town,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.

Darkness settles on roofs and walls,
But the sea, the sea in the darkness calls;
The little waves, with their soft, white hands,
Efface the footprints in the sands,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.

The morning breaks; the steeds in their stalls
Stamp and neigh, as the hostler calls;
The day returns, but nevermore
Returns the traveler to the shore,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)

Notice that the poem rises and falls, like the subject.

Here you go chacha, you can dance to this one:

Don't Worry, Be Happy Lyrics
Bobby Mcferrin

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy...

Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don't worry, be happy
The land lord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don't worry, be happy
Look at me I am happy
Don't worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
When you worry, call me
I make you happy
Don't worry, be happy
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got no girl to make you smile
But don't worry be happy
Cause when you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
So don't worry, be happy (now)...

There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
Like good little children
Don't worry, be happy
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
But when you worry
You make it double
Don't worry, be happy...
Don't worry don't do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon pass
Whatever it is
Don't worry, be happy

Les, for a while a few years ago, the Australian Taxation Office in Melbourne used that song for their waiting music when their customer service phone lines were full.

Do You Know I Love You
Do You Know I Care
Do You Know I Am Misribal
When Your Not There
Do You Know I Would Do Any Thing For You
I Would Give My Life To Save You
So You Could Live A Life You Have Been Dreaming Of
For Years And Years On End
Do You Know I Think Of You Day And Night
I Pray For God To Keep You Safe
For God To Take My Life
If You Were To Die
Do You Know I Feel Safe With You
I Sleep Thinking Of You
I Have Nightmears Of You Leaving Me
I Wake Up Screaming
Do You Know Your My One And Only
Do You Know I Will Never Love Again
Do You Know I Wish You Would Just Give Me A Chance
I Love You

How Many Friends?
The old man turned to me and asked
"How many friends have you?"
Why 10 or 20 friends have I,
And named off just a few...
He rose quite slow with effort
And sadly shook his head
"A lucky child you are
To have so many friends," he said
But think of what you're saying
There is so much you do not know
A friend is just not someone
To whom you say "Hello"
A friends a tender shoulder
On which to softly cry
A well to pour your troubles down
And raise your spirits high
A friend is a hand to pull you up
From darkness and despair...
When all your other "so called" friends
Have helped to put you there
A true friend is an ally
Who can't be moved or bought
A voice to keep your name alive
When others have forgot
But most of all a friend is a heart
A strong and sturdy wall
For from the hearts of friends
There comes the greatest love of all!!!
So think of what I've spoken
For every word is true
And answer once again my child
How many friends have you???
And then he stood and faced me
Awaiting my reply
Softly I answered
"If lucky...... one have "I"
"You!!!!"

As a teacher you have a special place,In this child’s heart.
Because in this game of life
You’ve help me get my start.
I just want to thank you
For all the things you’ve done.
You’re a very special teacher
And to me you’re number one!

Hi im Lilya in 16, this is a nice poem for a boyfriend. Nothing too mushy but just to make him feel special...

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.
