I refuse to believe that the sensible folk of Yorkshire would eat anything as revolting as spam fritters. Not after parkin, pudding, forced rhubarb and licorice.

Now the Scots are a different people. Haggis!!! Mind you they must have something going for them to enable the invention of whisky and porridge.

I wouldn't know what the sensible folk of Yorkshire would eat - haven't met many! Don't hail from Yorkshire, but the Midlands. Still like Spam fritters, though - makes a nice change from coal.

What are Twinkies, they haven't standardised the name yet. I still think of snickers as Marathon.

Does anybody have another Spam haiku?? We seem to have lost the original intent of this thread.

When I return from dinner (We're having Spam and mushy peas, with Twinkies for dessert) I'd like to see some more haikus....please.

Thanks,

joet

Ahhnold pronounces it "ter-mi-na-tor" which is probably the ultimate outcome for those who eat Spam.

Having served in the US Air Force, and having had to eat the mystery meat in our C-Rations kits on more than one occasion, I can attest that SPAM is far superior.

Isn't it odd, though, how our palates adapt when there are no other choices? Powdered eggs, however, are another thing entirely.

As long as we're talking about the pork prduct and not unwanted advertising, here's some more.

1. Spam spelled backwards is corned beef.
2. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, for one tenth of a dollar, see a Spam cut in two.
3. Slam, Spam, thank you mam.
4. Spam you too, buster.
5. Go Spam your mother.
6. Some Spam everyday keeps you regular.
7. A large cheese Spam, please.
8. Spam me the way to go home.
9. Oh, darling, let's spam.
10. SPAM 0 MANCHESTER UNITED 6
