The Electronic Alveary:
OK, now repeat the exercise with orange or chimney. (I'm told neither has a rhyme, but there are lots of words I've never come across)
Hugh - What can I say? You took all of the fun out of it. Years ago, I used
[rhyme.poetry.com] but prefer to crack my own nut and then to modify with adverbs or adjectives. Didn't want the pros to get ahold of this; just thought that some high school kid would want to try it out.
Anyway, thanks for the other website. Write Express has 'brassiers' but neither have 'weirs' - where do they keep them ? How come 'Aleveary' is not in alphatic order - someone forget to press the 'ascending order' button ?
Linda - Right off the top of my head, I can't think of anything either. However, I'll run it through the electronic listings to see what I can come up with. Will get back to you later - the old lady is on my back to send off an email to our daughter concerning dress sizes.
Arrgh...Hugh, you've given me a headache.
Whenever I've had a few beers
I dream about Britney Spears.
How come 'Aleveary' is not in alphatic order ... ?
It's really a crossword puzzle solver. Four letters, then five, etc. - alphabetially per sequence.
Old anonymous limerick:
Two fussy old queers from Algiers
Were flustered and almost in tears,
For the buggers had spent
What they needed for rent,
And their landlord had said, "No arrears!"
This reminds me of ..."beers, queers, and steers."
You attended the University of Texas?
my pc went bananas ... so I cannot copy and paste
( I am as histerical as one can be ... )
but ... go figure ... I can copy and paste a site name ...
so you can scroll down and see a rhyme ( sic) for orange :
Thank you. Now what about chimney?
How often I've thought about chimney
While rummaging rhymes for a limney,
But despite all my spirit
It doesn't appear it
Has chances much better than slimney.
Thank you for that kind thought.
Well, didn't we stir things up a bit. Now you can all go back to work on something serious.
Re: University of Texas - if addressed to me, I'm a UCLA dropout. Some day I'll get a User Profile into this system.
Texas U. - peeyou.
UCLA, Hey, hey.
Harvard man, don't give a damn.
MIT, so easy, to be.
And as for Brit, what a s...urprise!
