I am searching for the reference to a quote that I remember from school. I have searched my local library and the internet without any luck. The quote as I recall it is, "and the blackbird will always be a part of everything that I am." I thought that the quote was from "The Blackbird" but haven't been able to locate a poem by that name with anything similar to those words.
Thank you and great appreciation for any and all who can help me locate the work that this quote is from.

This is a complete shot in the dark (it doesn't even match the quote you've given), but I'd thought I'd point you to Wallace Stevens' "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird". It's probably not right, but who knows.... maybe it's what you're looking for.
The poem can be found at the following address....

Good luck, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
