I am looking for a poem containing the line
"stand not by my graveside and weep"
It is for a funeral service.
TIA
"Do not stand at my grave and weep"
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifted rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Life can move in serenity,
All to spend in solitary,
Not to love is to face no grief;
Mindful was I of that belief.
To that, I say, believe no more.
True enough, too short is man’s youth.
A recent tailing time, came truth,
Enlightenment krystalled my haze:
‘Alone, within was empty space.’
To that, I say, maintain no more.
Alas, like a bird you swayed;
You’re nature’s prey, yet, unafraid,
Skillfully, my heart you tamed;
Losing my fierce, to you I blame.
To that, I say, dislike no more.
Moments we had, most I cherished,
Much to my chagrin, they perished.
I wish time be forever chilled
Since ecstasy my heart was filled.
To that, I say, might have no more.
In gloomy days now I await
For any prize my heart will take;
I strive to be brave and bold
Lest what at stake I cannot hold.
To that, I say, hoping forevermore.
Let me live in a house by the side of the road.
I am looking for two poems:
1. If for Boys
2. If for Girls
A man of words and not of deeds,
Is like a garden full of weeds.
And when those weeds begin to grow,...
I think you are looking for a poem by Sam Walter Foss. I believe it is titled "The house by the side of the road" If you don't find it let me know and I will get you more concise info.

Rudyard Kipling wrote the poem "IF" for his son...maybe there is also one for a girl.
The one for his son:
If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you but make allowance for their doubting too......
...yours is the earth and everything that's in it, and which is more you'll be a man my son.
Is that the one you are looking for?
